Bride & Groom: Anna and Tristan

Services booked: Partial planning and on the day service

We had been recommended to Anna and Tristan by their good friends, Harry and Annabella who hired us last year to plan their wedding.

When we first met Anna (Tristan was away with work, in the Army), we understood their reasons for contacting us. Anna owned a very successful dance school, so had little time to be searching for the suppliers needed for their special day.

Anna and Tristan had chosen St Edmunds School, Canterbury for their ceremony which is exclusively enjoyed by ex-pupils and the wedding reception followed at Great Higham Barn, Doddington, a beautiful complex of barns where a marquee welcomed the guests.

We supplied mood boards, suggestions and ideas to establish an understanding of the style and design that they were after. They were looking for an elegant and stylish look to compliment the beautiful grounds within.

The day itself was wonderful, albeit there were a couple of hiccups which we managed to resolve behind the scenes (that is part of our job after all) everything ran smoothly. The photographer had a field day at St Edmunds, with the stunning backdrop it provides and then Great Higham Barn was made magical with our suggestion of lantern lit paths and fairy lights wrapped around an array of trees.

Anna and Tristan were delighted with the décor and were really pleased with what we had achieved, from what was a plain, empty marquee that we transformed into a room filled with wedding delight! The floral centrepieces and top table floral garland really set the scene for a romantic atmosphere.  The couple made it clear from the start they wanted elegance and class, and by the look on their faces as they walked into the marquee for the first time, we had nailed it, this is reflected in their heart-warming testimonial!

We would like to thank the happy couple for choosing Sweet Sorbet to help plan their wedding and we wish them all the luck for the future.
